Joseph married Catherine Philomena CONCANNON (dob 02/18/1869-died 11/09/1921) on 11/25/1896 in Philadelphia, PA. They had 8 children; Kathryn de_Sales; Joseph Aloysius Jr.; Isabella Anna; George Concannon- dob 06/20/1903-died 08/17/77(my father); also Anna Maria; Edward Joseph; Francis; and Dorothy Mary. John CORCORAN owned and operated a shipping and stevedore company, The Furness Withy Line at Philadelphia port in late 1800s. He died at home-217 Delancey Street, Philadelphia, PA.

Looking for any information on MUIR. Our line came to New York, United States about 1766-1744. They were from the area of Abbey (Paisley), Glasgow, & Kilmarnock. The whole family was in the textile industry. Part of this family stayed in New York, but part went up into Quebec, Canada in the Montreal area.

In the latter part of 1845 several thousand Germans immigrant arrived at Galveston Port, by ship to settle the VON_MEUSEBACH Land Grant, in the present day Fredrickburg, Texas. I would like to know if anyone living in Vastergotland, Sweden in the Nybyggd or Borgunda parish areas are looking for relatives who went to America in the 1860-1880 area - especially to Rockford or Cherry Valley, IL. Would there be a time to "chat". I can read and write Swedish fairly well. My great-grandfather from Nybyggd was named Abraham ANDERSSON. He changed his last name to NYMAN either just before or just after coming to the United States. My other great-grandfather was named Sven NOHLING (or NORLING).

I am doing research on my ggrandparents, John Tidwell KING and Laura SPARKS KING. John was born in TN in 1863 to Tidwell KING and Katherine TURNER. Laura was born in AR in 1868 to John SPARKS and Mary TIMS. I do not have John and Laura's marriage date. Their children were born in AR. They moved to McAlister, OK, abt 1900, and then settled in Mt.
