- John GOOTEE (GAUTIER) left France via Calais for England ca 1660 to 1662. From England he was transported to Maryland by Antoine LeCompte. John married Margaret (BEESON, not proven) and had two issue John and Joseph before arrival in Maryland and a daughter Judith born in Maryland. May have been married three times (1) Louyse (Louise) QUENNEL/GUENNEL (f: Anthoine QUENNEL m: Marguerite LE_MAISTRE) m: Possible France/Holland (2) Jeanne DE_LANNOY m: 5/19/1648 Walloon Church, Middelburg, Holland. (3) Hestor DU_BOIS m: 4/24/1652 Amsterdam, Holland. Was a French Huguenot Refugee this is the reason the records are missing. May be the family of Guillaume (William) LE_MAISTRE or Charles LE_MAISTRE. This family is rumored to be cousin to the Queen. This family also has name of DELAMATER. When family got to America, the next generation used that name (reason unknown) must have been entitled to this titled name. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
