The goal of the IIGS University team is share the knowledge of experienced researchers with those who want to learn about the lives of their ancestors. Classes range from introductory (for beginners) to more complex classes for experienced students. A number of Nation specific courses have been designed such as IIGS University Australia which has specific Australian content.
IIGS University Library:
The University Library is a collection of resource pages which provide links to country specific information which will assist you in your genealogical research.
IRC University Chat meeting:
The IRC University Chats started in April this year to enable people who are working their way through any of the IIGS U courses to meet the course designers and discuss specific aspects of the course they are doing. These IRC Meetings are held on the 3rd Sunday of every month at 6:00 pm (PST). Come along and meet the Instructors and Staff of the IIGS University for discussion and/or questions regarding the genealogy classes run by the IIGS.
