The Southeastern Branch of the New Brunswick Genealogical Society is hosting Ancestor Quest 97, held August 1-4 in Moncton, New Brunswick. The focus is on Irish, Yorkshire, and Planter migration, as well as Acadian settlement in the maritimes. Scotland

The University of Aberdeen Centre for Continuing Education is offering a four day summer course entitled "Digging Up Your Ancestors--Family History Summer School." The class will run from 4-8 August 1997 at the Regent Building, Old Aberdeen, Scotland.
