CORRIGAN
The Corrigan Family which originated in County Westmeath, Fore, Clonnageragh "Knockadoon" will be having a family reunion, the First Sunday of August in Chatham, Illinois. This year's organizers are Gerald and Pauline Corrigan of Chatham. It begins with mass said by Rev. Corrigan and a "Pot Luck" meal. There will be updated directory information regarding the relatives available for a few dollars.
GERKING
The 38th Annual Reunion of the GERKING Family Organization will be held Sunday, August 10, 1997, at Cascade Locks, Oregon (about 40 miles east of Portland). We'll begin gathering about 11:00 a.m., with a potluck picnic about 1:00 p.m.
The reunion is for descendants of John GERKING, who was born 27 AUG 1764, probably in Germany. He married Rachel RICE in Jefferson Co., KY, and they had 12 children, all of whom were born in Jefferson Co., KY. MARSTELLER/MASTELLER/MOSTELLER
Family Tour in Eastern PA - October 1997. All Marsteller/Masteller/Mosteller cousins and researchers are invited to join us in Lehigh Co, PA where many of the Marsteller ancestors originate from. We will be traveling to Augustus Lutheran to receive a tour of the first church the Marstellers were associated with. Attend services at St. Paul's Blue Church where many of the descendants of Johann George Marsteller were baptized. After services, we would like to dedicate a monument to this illustrious ancestor of ours. 33rd ALDRICH FAMILY REUNION
The National Association of the Aldrich Family was founded by Earl Darling Aldrich, in 1963. The group has had an Annual Reunion every year, since that time, except once. After Mr. Aldrich's death in 1989, the family has continued the Aldrich Family Reunions yearly, and hopes to continue to do so, into the 21st Century. Officers of the Association are Richard Coakley, Pres,, Doris Coakley Treas., Alice Pickering Palladini, Sec.; Robert Criswell, Historian.
History has scattered the Aldrich family across the country and into Canada, but every year some of the family members get together to talk about their Roots, and enjoy a weekend of socializing and acquaintances. This year on July 19 & 20th, the National Association of the Aldrich Family will hold its 33rd Reunion, in the area 2E The members who gather from all over the U.S. will take another trip back in history and ride down the Blackstone River on the riverboat "Explorer", beginning at the Blackstone Gorge and down the river to the Milllville Granite Locks. The river-boat ride will be narrated & sponsered by the Blackstone Valley Tourism Council. Thereafter the group will proceed to the Blackstone Quaker Meeting House, where the group will be met by Mr. William Kelly and Mrs. Hariet Chase Sharpe, who will relate to the group the history of the little Meeting House built in 1812, and the beginning of the cemetery where the first member was buried in 1791. The group will then pro ceed to the So, Bellingham Cemetery where David Aldrich, a grandson of George Aldrich Founder of Mendon, Ma., and his two wives are buried, Hannah Capron and Mehitable Mann. This ancient cemetery also known as Scott Cemetery, boast of having the original Mounting Stone still intact. A large constituent of the Aldrich family descend from David 2E Following the tour, a dinner will be at the Colonial House Restaurant in Bellingham., where the group will continue getting acquainted & socializing. On Sunday Morning at 9AM, they will gather at the Village Church, in Medway, Ma. Immediately following the service the group will meet at St. Joseph's Parish Hall for the 33rd Annual National Aldrich Ass. business meeting, with Pres. Richard Coakley presiding. A buffet luncheon will follow with an afternoon get together of genealogy, with various members speaking about their research and family trees. This year's business will conclude the discussion and plans of the Association to place a pla que, on the huge boulder in the Old Cemetery in Mendon, Ma. in honor of the one of the Founding Fathers of Mendon and Progenitor of this family George Aldrich. MOORE
Moore Family Reunion will be held at the Moore Ranch near Alpine, Texas on August 9, 1997. It is for descendents of John Esten Cook Moore and his brothers Wiley Gaither and Joseph L. who established the ranch in 1885. These were three of the ten children of Dr. John Major Moore, b. 1802 to Joseph Moore and Rebecca Ballew.
