The IIGS IRC Team Mission is to support all who want to use the IIGS IRC Net for genealogy
related activities. The IIGS IRC Team also works with other IRC Genealogy channels/nets and individuals
wishing to use the IRC medium for the advancement of genealogy.

MEMBERSHIP
The IIGS IRC Net is open to all IIGS Members, their guests, and visitors interested in the pursuit
of genealogically related activities. Guests and visitors are encouraged to become IIGS Members.
Connecting to and participating in IIGS IRC Net activities does not constitute IIGS IRC Team
membership (see Part II of this Manual).
Individuals wishing to schedule on-line meetings are requested to contact the IIGS IRC Executive
Committee; the IIGS IRC Team; or the IIGS IRC
Liaison before setting up a channel on the IIGS IRC Net.
See Part III of this Policy Manual for additional information on forming a channel.
This is a general discussion list for topics of interest to the IIGS IRC Team members. Subscription
to this list may be made by direct e-mail or through the IIGS
Web site and is open to all IIGS members interested in the
"goings-on" of the IIGS IRC Team.
Policy discussions may take place either on the List or on on-line IIGS IRC meetings.
Policy decisions shall only be made on the List through a call-for-votes process. Only
those votes made by the registered IIGS IRC Team members will be tabulated.
